[There are certain people who seem to be a threat to their own lives, and this guy definitely strikes him as that sort of a person. Frowning, Keith makes a beeline for the edge of his own ledge, not that far from the building Minato is on. He doesn't think it's going to hold Minato never mind him, so instead of the ledge, he's going to jump across and catch a window sill, shimming his way along to the corner where he can jam his dagger into a bit of loose mortar between the bricks. Almost in reach if he stretches.]
You know if you fall, we'll probably need a bucket to carry you off, right?
[That's an exaggeration. It's not that high. But it's definitely break a bone high depending on the landing.]
... I'm almost there. [YEAH...!!] Just... a bit more...
[He reaches... his fingers grab the pot... and the planking of the balcony beneath him gives way.
On the plus side, Minato manages to catch himself on the still-present railing, pot still somehow in his other hand. On the other hand, now he's dangling. Hm.]
[Keith echoes with a wince as he watches the balcony crumble. Okay, no problem. He'll just... make his way over on the narrow ledge to where Minato (AND HIS BUCKET DROP THE BUCKET) are still dangling.]
Okay. So... need a hand?
[He asks once he's close enough to offer that -- though honestly his own position is precarious, half gripping ledge, half balanced against the railing. He uh... he could make this worse as easy as he could help out. It's a toss up. Roll the dice, Minato?]
Says the guy on a collapsing balcony looking for a bucket.
[Daredevil.]
So... why do you need the bucket so bad?
[Casual conversation for now despite where they are. Why not? Until something goes wrong anyway. He stretches to catch Minato's hand properly. In theory.]
[And on 3, with probably more faith than Minato should be having a situation like this in a stranger, Minato also shoves himself away from the ledge he's been clinging to, reaching out precariously with a hand.
[It's fine. Probably totally fine. Anyway. Keith manages to catch a secure grip on him, a pleased little flicker of a grin. Okay.]
Perfect. I'm gonna pull you my way. Sound good? This ledge should hold and we can go back the way I came out. [Through his window. And no one will break a leg for the sake of a bucket and the day will be won.]
[Nope Keith isn't expecting the momentum so he is sure not going to pull nearly enough grace out of thin air to stop them from tumbling. But hey, at least it's straight through his window and onto the floor of his room. Could be worse.
Maybe.
Except for the part where he's sprawled out on his back wondering what the hell just happened. ...but hey at least he's still got the bucket.] ...you okay?
[He flings his arm up, the bucket swinging back and forth from it’s handle. And Keith stares at it and then looks to Minato and informs him,] Got your bucket.
[So you know. Total success. No one died. Bucket obtained. And Keith has a couple new bruises for his ever expanding collection.]
[A moment's hesitation and he holds out a hand again. Shake? That's a greeting thing, right? Do you shake hands after you yank someone off a falling balcony? What's the etiquette here? Keith doesn't know.]
Nice to meet you, now that we're, you know, on solid ground.

[He pauses. Glances down.
...Yeah.
Well.]

no subject
Well.
He inspects Keith, and Keith's own precarious position, and.... casually just offers him the bucket.
Yep.
Take that and get back to safety, loser.]
no subject
[Minato. No. No, not at all. Like. Wow.]
You're giving me the...
[Okay. Sigh. Keith will take the bucket, sling his arm through the handle and then hold his hand out towards him.]
Okay, daredevil, now you.
[This is barely precarious for Keith. He's all about flinging himself around walls and spidermonkeying his way along things. Totally normal...ish.]
no subject
[But, you know. If Keith is offering, now that the pot/bucket is safe, Minato just reaches for Keith's hand properly.
Okay...!!
Almost to safety...!]

Ah... someone was looking for one.
[That's why he's walking across a rotting balcony.
Sure.
Minato reaches....reaaaaches... and misses Keith's hand by a bit. His grip sways--and he grimaces, tightening it again. Okay, take two.]
no subject
I see.
[That umm. Well I mean yeah someone was looking for one. Is a reason. Sort of. Keith frowns at the near miss. So close.]
Okay. Let's coordinate. On three, you reach and I'll swing forward a bit.
[Deal?]
no subject
[Minato nods relatively calmly considering this situation, dragging in a deep breath and adjusting his grip.]
I'm ready.
no subject
[Keith nods, and methodically begins the count.]
1... 2... And now he pushes from the wall where his blade is jammed, free hand stretching towards Minato.] ...3!
{All or nothing at this point.]
no subject
Aaaaand--!
Success!]
no subject
Perfect. I'm gonna pull you my way. Sound good? This ledge should hold and we can go back the way I came out. [Through his window. And no one will break a leg for the sake of a bucket and the day will be won.]
no subject
[Minato nods firmly, tightening his grasp on Keith's hand.
They've got this...!!
And as soon as Keith pulls, Minato goes with him--and overbalances only a little.
But.
Thankfully, in the right direction; unless Keith can brace both of them, they're going to tumble through the window a bit faster than anticipated.]
no subject
[Nope Keith isn't expecting the momentum so he is sure not going to pull nearly enough grace out of thin air to stop them from tumbling. But hey, at least it's straight through his window and onto the floor of his room. Could be worse.

Oops.
Sorry Keith.
At least he's pretty quick to roll off, pushing himself to his hands and knees.]
Ah--are you okay?
no subject
[He flings his arm up, the bucket swinging back and forth from it’s handle. And Keith stares at it and then looks to Minato and informs him,] Got your bucket.
[So you know. Total success. No one died. Bucket obtained. And Keith has a couple new bruises for his ever expanding collection.]
no subject
Minato just snorts softly at that, expression somewhat amused despite himself.]
... Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.
no subject
Seriously though. There had to be less perilous buckets to grab.
[Ground buckets. Buckets not on deathtrap balconies.]
Also, welcome to my room, I guess.
no subject
[Uh.
Hm.]
...Thanks for your hospitality.
[Now is not the time, Minato.]
no subject
Yeah don’t mention it,
[He hops to his feet now and holds his hand out to Minato to help him up as well.]
no subject
... Oh, right. I'm Minato, by the way. [THEY MAY AS WELL GET ACQUAINTED after all of that.]
no subject
[A moment's hesitation and he holds out a hand again. Shake? That's a greeting thing, right? Do you shake hands after you yank someone off a falling balcony? What's the etiquette here? Keith doesn't know.]
Nice to meet you, now that we're, you know, on solid ground.
no subject
["The possibly dead one".]
You made that post before, right?
[But sure, handshakes, he can do that. Time to shake!! Hands!!]
no subject
[Keith nods. At least he's not terribly worried about admitting that. He did announce it to the whole network, after all.]
A while back. It's good to put a face to a name. It's confusing, with the numbers and letters. Trying to remember who is who is hard.
Honestly I barely remember mine.
[Hooray. Handshaking! Okay. Keith figures that went well at least. Good job being a person, Keith.]
